Up Fronts - Fox

Well, the good news here is after years of endless hours of Idol programming, Fox has decided to reign in the show a little by limiting the the performance show to 90 minutes and the result show to 30 minutes. Now if only they would find a way to limit Idol so that Glee doesn't start four minutes later than it should, thus ending later than my DVR is recording... But, oh well! New series coming to Fox in the fall:

Lonestar (looks interesting with the arrival of veteran screen actor Jon Voigt to Network television - I'll give it at least four episodes to suck me in; let's hope Fox gives it as long before pulling the plug):

Raising Hope:
Welcome to television Martha Plimpton. You had me at "Hello Alicia Florick" and I look forward to seeing you every week.

Ride Along:
From the creator for The Shield, starring Jennifer Beals.

Mixed Signals:
It's shows like these that make me so glad that I'm gay! Straight men of my generation are so fucked up - or at least, that's what Network Television would have you think, right?

The Upfronts - first up: NBC

The up-fronts are Christmas to television fans - when the networks announce to the world (and Madison Avenue) what they have in store for the coming fall season and, by the same token, confirming the shows that have bit the dust (finally, HEROES) and those relegated for one reason or another to mid-season replacement. The new shows coming the Peacock this fall:

The Event:
Interesting cast - Laura Innes (ER) is always an interesting addition to any cast, Jason Ritter (most recently on Parenthood), Bill Smitrovich (Life Goes On) and Blair Underwood. This is the kind of show that demands a commitment from the audience. Let's hope NBC reciprocates.

The Chase:
It's Texas Ranger Bruckheimer style with Cold Case like heroin with a southern twang and a tough-as-nail-but-heart-of-gold attitude and a side order of still rosie-cheeked former Wysteria Lane gardener Jesse Metcalf.

Law & Order: Los Angeles
A continuing trend of procedural spin-offs set in different locations.

UnderCovers:
From JJ Abrams -- and I'm already sold with just the 5 minute clip. It's like Hart to Hart in the era that begat Sydney Bristow!

Outsourced:
Not too sure about this one. NBC seems to think it's good enough to earn a spot on the Thursday night comedy - (Community will be coming back!)

Love Bites:
Good news: Becky Newton; Bad News: Lindsay Price.

Outlaw:
And finally an drama entry that's relegated to Friday nights - not the best spot - starring Jimmy Smits, who could use a hit just about now.

And waiting in the wings for a spot on the NBC schedule: The Cape, Friends with Benefits (two friends looking for love - and sleeping with each other in the meantime; and wait, did I get this right, the girl who played Riley on Melrose Place 2.0 playing a girl named Riley?); David E. Kelly's new quirky legal show starring Kathy Bates, with Brittany Snow and Paul McCrane who - I'm sorry - will always be Montgomery is my heart (Is it Okay if I Call Mine?); The Paul Riser Show, and Perfect Couples (which are everything but).

Sagat

I gotta tell ya', it's not the rippling muscles, the amazing eyes or the other attributes that lay right below the belt, front or back, that makes Sagat get to me - ok, so it is that! But even more, it's the fun I have imagining what's going on hi his mind as he assembles these various clips. Here's a couple:

Not sure what it all means, really, but regardless - anything that piques my curiosity is worth viewing. Even the "Making Of" the Francois Sagat Realistic Cock is hot - see?

But then, there's something that's universal - the hotness that Sagat is when in action, as in full display in this "Search and Rescue" trailer

Andy Cohen, I must be crushing hard...

... if I am willing to subject myself to this "spoken word on a Saint-Tropez beat" crap from the Countess just for the sheer joy of seeing you smile (even though it's a little bit goofball-ishly).

Woof - Craig Reynolds

By all accounts, Craig Reynolds is not my "type" - as my type is either, well - no sh*t Sherlock - Colby Keller OR the tall, blond Scandinavian intellectual meet Royal Canadian Mounted Police built artist/home builder. But there's something about Craig Reynolds... perhaps it is that behind the knee pads, the leather harness and all, there seems to be the promise of passionate, long and tender lovemaking...

Cheyenne Jackson and Michael Urie Rip "Newsweek"'s Ramin Setoodeh For "Gays Can't Play Straight" Article | AfterElton.com

Cheyenne Jackson and Michael Urie Rip "Newsweek"'s Ramin Setoodeh For "Gays Can't Play Straight" Article | AfterElton.com: "When asked to comment on Ramin Setoodeh's recent article about how openly gay actors can't convincingly play heterosexual roles, Cheyenne Jackson and Michael Urie straight-out called the Newsweek entertainment writer an ''asshole'' who's ''unconscionable.'' The two out actors were speaking at a talkback after Monday's performance of The Temperamentals, Jon Marans' acclaimed Off-Broadway play about early gay rights activists in the 1950s."

Exposing the good and bad stars of gay porn: Introducing.....Colby Keller

Exposing the good and bad stars of gay porn: Introducing.....Colby Keller

Y'all know how head over heels I am for Colby Keller, in an interview with our friends at Porn Stars Exposed, he reveals more about himself including that he and I MIGHT have the same birthday, and - unfortunately - that I am not at all his type: "I’m very attracted to guys with body hair that don’t shave (a little bit of very mild trimming is fine). Also, because I am big, I tend to have a weakness for guys bigger than me. I think Devin Draz might fit that bill." he says. I look nothing like Devin Draz... But perhaps there's hope? "Wit, humor, confidence, honesty and intelligence are required to bed me no matter how hot someone might be physically." Thank God. I can continue fantasizing.

Seriously? Lingerie shoot too sexy for Miss USA?

Here's what: in this day and age when a nude pictorial is no longer the last stop on the exit from a career, but the starting point of one (Pammy, Kelly, Kelly...), Miss USA's lingerie shoot too racy? Seriously? I have to wonder how Vanessa Williams would feel about this trend of accidental flashes of boobs and vag making news with no negative impact on the the baring starlets' q-rating? Seriously! Nowadays, if you want to extend a minute of fame into a lifetime of E! coverage, all you have to do is "leak" your sex tape, but the lingerie shoot for Miss USA too racy? Seriously?
