Dixie Carter, of Designing Women fame, but whose career on screen and stage reached far wider than simply that sitcom passed away this weekend.

I am a huge fan of Tina Fey so it was great to see her back on SNL last night in what overall was a pretty decent episode which revealed whatever happened to the dancing baby in Ally McBeal. Tina Fey - worse dressed at the Golden Globes...
... but best at everything else, including not taking Hollywood, herself or life too seriously. Love the humility and the humor, and didn't hate the dress either. Also, kinda fun to see her and Fallon together again.

The 21-year-old High School Musical star will play Mimi, an HIV-positive club dancer, in Neil Patrick Harris' staging of Rent, TVGuide.com has confirmed. The role of Mimi was originated by Daphne Rubin-Vega on Broadway and assumed by Rosario Dawson in the film version. Check out videos of Vanessa Hudgens 'She came in for a work session, and I must say, Vanessa really impressed,' Harris said in a statement.
